There is reference to a Solomon Jeems, deceased, in the
Demerara River area of Guyana in the early 19th century.
Susannah Jeems, a minor, is mentioned in an advertisement in
the Demerara Gazette for the sale on 12 April 1819 of
Susannah's Rust, woodland on the Demerara River's east bank.
The Guiana Chronicle of 1 April 1822 advertised the
transport of a piece of woodland called Susannah's Rust
"bounded on the north by the lands of the late Samuel
Jeems."
