Perhaps you have some thoughts on the following:
By chance I found a tidbit on Bequia:
Henry Basden, who had arrived from Bermuda ca. 1785 - 1790 in Curaçao,
stayed and got married. When his first wife died in 1794, in their
mutual inventory it says:
2 negro slaves, Jack and Johannes (domestics) on Becquia and 2 negro
slaves, Mathias and Johannes on Bermuda. I figure, he must have still
owned property on both islands? Any ideas.
Henry Basden stayed in Curaçao, got married a second time and owned a
shipbuilding wharf. Anybody researching this name in Bermuda or
Becquia?
