The Adams surname is very prevalent in Barbados.
Sir Grantley Adams (1898-1971) was the first premier of Barbados and his
home, Tyrol Cot is open to visitors. He is on the $100 note, the Barbados Airport
is named in his honor, he is a national hero and was the founder of the
Barbados Labour Party.
