Three photographs were printed on the bottom of page 35 with this caption:
In the center oval is shown MISS ESTHER EARL, daughter of MRS. LAUREENA
EARL, assignment supervisor, Los Angeles. Miss Earl was the winner of the
year's prize for the highest school honors in the state. She graduated from
Polytechnic High School, was given a scholarship to Occidental College, and
will enter the university this fall. She was also awarded a place in the
Ephebian honor society. Miss Earl worked in our centralized information
office, Los Angeles, throughout the summer. At the left is shown MISS
DOROTHY COSS, supervisor of Portland Walnut office, vacationing at Rockaway,
Ore. At the right we caught FRANKIE MORRIS, 20-month-old nephew of our
Riverside evening chief operator, in the act this time. He showed us he
could enjoy the picnic at Fairmount Park as well as anyone. What was in the
bottle was "pop."
