Dear Kathleen,
Alas, I seem to have hit a wall on this one -- I know that Martha Marie or Maria Carleton married John Inman Eastman (descended from Roger, who emigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1638) and had three daughters -- Helen Carleton Eastman (DPOB August 20, 1860 Concord NH, Maria Louise Eastman (DPOB July 23 1857 Nashua NH) and my great-grandmother, Harriet Lee Eastman (DPOB 1864 in either Philadelphia or Concord). I think I iwll probably have to track down the marriage certificate (1856 Concord NH) to see if the parents of the bride are listed!
>From the dates, John H could possibly be a grandparent, though he doesn't seem to be living in the same NH area and the ancestors don't seem to have been very adventurous in looking for spouses. Do you have information on all his children? The 1830 and 1840 census records might help me track down possibles.
Regards, Jeannette
