Hello Lois

Thanks for your e-mail. There are two Chapels in Llanelli similarly named
one is Siloh and the other Siloah. The one in Greenfield is Siloh. Find
both below:

CALVANISTIC METHODISTS
Cause began: 1875
Chapels: 1878
Location: Greenfield, near the town and parish of Llanelly
Branch of: Trinity, Llanelly. About 50 came from Trinity when the church
was formed.
Periods of Growth: 1875, 34 members, 1908 2285
Records Available: Unknown

INDEPENDENTS
Siloah
Cause Began: 1840
Chapels: 1841, enlarged 1855
Location: Seaside, town and parish of Llanelly
Branch of: Capel Als, Llanelly
Periods of Growth: 1841, 116 members, 1854 194, 1875 409.
Records Available: See Capel Als Membership register 1854-1911 CRO6441.

Siloa therefore is in Greenfield and must be the one you require, sadly there
are no records for this Chapel

There are 22 separate Church/Chapels in Llanelly area, not including St Elli
Parish Church, All Saints 1874-1974, ChristChurch 1887-1973, St Davids
1898-1971 and St Albans 1912-1970.

Hope this helps, if you have any queries come back to me.

Regards
Pauline James
