Hi Jane

No I have not seen this programme - I only watch tv for the one and only soap
'Coronation Street' and watch a film or documentary from about 9pm onwards.

Yes Sarah is practicing for the Eisteddfod only 4 weeks to go- She is
changing schools this year, she is leaving primary school (ages 7-11) and
going onto the Comprehensive(11-18) which will be quite a culture shock -
going from a class of 11 children into a class of 30+ she had good results
from her exams, so I'm rather pleased with her achievement.

The charge for research in Carmarthen registry offices by the staff there is
now £35.00 per hour and this is supposed to be going up in the near future -
I know this because Pat the secretary tells everyone to use us because of the
rate they charge.......

Do I sound tired - it must be the boredom of waiting for summer to arrive -
we had downpours all day yesterday - in one day the rainfall was normally for
the whole of July - our Gazebo is there mainly just to keep the patio dry
instead of keeping the sun off us. At least my son wife and children are
enjoying the sunshine in Lanzarote.

If you want any photocopies from Carms RO let me know and I'll get them for
you - they do not copy from original registers - they will only transcribe
the entry - if the information is on microfilm they do have a reader that
will copy some information not all because they are still waiting for a new
lens - brilliant for the parishes that are on microfilm - I was able to
confirm a signature from a will to one from the chapel registers to find out
if I did have the correct family - and yes it was - don't know what happened
to the money - it did not come our way.....

speak soon Pauline
