Re the family Pauline has just suggested.

I once thought that the Nance could have been my Nancy John but when I
saw the 1851 entry a while ago with a birthplace of Llanon I guessed it
was unlikely to be.

However I had already looked up the birth of Archibald Lewis in the GRO
Index intending to get the birth certificate to find his mother's maiden
name.

I didn't send fot it as I had decided i was on the wrong track - but if
you want to the reference is

September quarter 1841 Carmarthen xxvi (i.e 26) page 505 - or 508 the
number was unclear.
