Hi Pauline!
Thank you for replying. I have records from the 1871 and 1881 Censuses and
the birth dates should be aplroximately:-
Parents
John Davies, b. Pencarreg 1831
Elizabeth Thomas (nee Rees) b. 1831
Children:
John b.1860
David b. 1864 ?adopted
William b. 1865
Elizabeth b. 1869
Morgan E (known as Elias) b. 1896
I know that daughter Elizabeth remained and married in Llangadock, my
grandfather (Morgan) Elias lived in Taff Street ?Gelli/Pentre (his wife Dinah
Davies lived next door) and that David and William moved to Glamorgan.
William is believed to have married but what happened to John and David is
not known. My grandmother, Dinah, died as a result of childhood, her baby
Ivor surviving her by one day, this an uncle I was never told about. The
brothers were brought up by a housekeeper and aunt with their father dying
twenty years later. Needless to say not much family information is known and
only one brother lives who must be nearly ninety.
I hope the above will produce result.
Anna
