Hi Pauline.
I have the result of an 1841 cencus (HO 107/1379, book 6, Parish and Borough
of Llanelly,Co, Carmarthen.

Almshouse Wern. (folio 49, page 10)

John Williams age 35 (to 39) Laborer, born in county, Carmarthen.
Elizabeth " 30 (to 34) " "
"
Margaret * " 8 " "
"
William " 3 " "
"
David " 1 " "
"

1851 Cencus HO 107/2468 Llanelly Carmarthenshire.
66 Upper Wern.
John Williams Hd M 47 Labourer born Llanelly Carmarthenshire
Elizabeth 38 " " "
David son 11 " " "
Henry " 9 " " "
Sarah dau 6 " " "
Mary " 2 " " "
William 5 months " " "

Using the 1841 cencus elizabeth was born 1811, making 18 when she married,
first child Margaret was born 1833, so it looks as if John and Elizabeth were
married about 4 yrs, or were there others who did not survive, or was
there another child could have been about 11 and living else where, one thing
is for sure they came from Llanelly.

I wonder why they were in the Almshouse, wish i was a fly on the wall in
those days sure would have answers :-)).

The 1841 cencus was from a Raymond Foster 10 Jan 1990.

Thank you again Sylvia
