Hi Pauline and Richard

Many thanks to both of you for all your hard work in assisting so many of us
to break through our brick walls.

In my case the combination of information from the 1851 Census and a
successful search for a marriage in the Record Office by Pauline has broken
down a barrier of over 20 years. The final brick will crumble when I receive
information from his ordination papers requested from the NLW.

The story of just how so much has been accomplished after a complete impasse
for so many years will have to wait until we meet again. Suffice to say that
Peter Williams in the 1861 Census actually turned out to be Peter Thomas in
the 1851 Census and with the aid of the latter and the Merlin Index all the
links to the Jenkins family of Llanddarog were revealed.

I think that further links may be established to the Williams family if you
could let me have the email address for Jane Rehms of Green Bluff, WA USA who
subscribed to and whose first email
Richard forwarded to the List on 5 May 2001 - without her email address. I
retained copy of this email as I recognised some possible members of the
families listed but did not have proof until the Pauline's findings. Now I
know we are looking at the same family.

So the year ends on a research high note and with the hope of an interesting
contact to come thanks to you both

Hoping that you will have a well earned and enjoyable rest from your labours

My best wishes for a happy Christmas and good health and prosperity in 2002
Joy
