Hi Jos,
Having established that there was a confusion, I think I can now throw some
light on the matter. James Beynon, 46 and Margaret were in Stonyway Street,
Laugharne in 1851,next door to William,78 (and Mary Beynon,84) who was
obviously a good candidate for James' father. These two tally exactly, with
the dates that you gave ( by mistake) for your James and Margaret. Sudden
thought, and I searched, with success, by asking for James William, because
of the perversity of the IGI.
James William, b.26 Aug, 1804, son of William Beynon and Mary.Carmarthen, St
Peter's.
I think this must be the baptism that I was looking for for so long,( for
Kay, NOT my family).
Then, there is a marriage of William Beynon and Mary Rees. 16 Jun, 1793 at
Llanelly, which looks very promising. I could not find it on the Quickbase.
You might like to pass this on to Kay, as a thought.
Pauline, with infinitely more experience, may well comment.
Success? cheers, Oliver.
