Hello Heather,
Sorry, I misread your original mail. You said " As at Cefn Coed". Please
forgive me.
Most of my family are buried at Pant Cemetery as well. Pant will take a
fair bit of time to get on to their cemeteries database to take on their
Family History fairs.
Part of my families came from all points Dyfed ( Carmarthen, Cardigan
and Pembrokeshire) and landed up in Dowlais or Merthyr. Some also were
from Breconshire area. My only English blood is from George Evans from
Whitney Herefordshire and Elizabeth Cheese, but think she born Welsh
Newton anyway;)
I go to Merthyr town at least 3 times a week. I am doing projects for
Glamorgan FHS at the Merthyr library as well as my adopted Gwent where I
carry out work as an officer ( nobody will volunteer of course) with my
wife at Ebbw Vale Branch of Gwent FHS. I also subscribe to several other
Family History Societies. It is worth the journals alone and in the case
of Carmarthenshire of course the members CD!
all the best
Barrie Jones, Gwent
