I have the index on my computer for 1851 - so no, it is no problem to look
.....

I found the baptisms and you state that Daniel was deceased by 1840......do
you think this could be Lettice Lewis the mother of Lewis??

I found these baps to a Daniel and Lettice in Llanfynydd

1813 12th Jan Elizabeth dau Daniel and Lettice Lewis
1818 2nd March John son Daniel and Lettice
1820 24th Sept - Lettice dau Daniel and Lettice

maybe they moved on after the birth of the last one to Llandilo Fawr where
Mary and Margaret were born...I do not have an index as yet for Llandilo
fawr

cousin found a grave in the St Michaels churchyard Cwmavon, which seems to
match. If it is correct there was another child William born 1857-58 and
died 1858. He is trying to confirm this with certificates. He also has
transcripts of this family on the 1861,1871 census and 2 of the daughters on
the 1881 census for Cwmavon GLA. The parents had died by this time( if we
have the correct gravestone) 4 children ended up in Australia. Daniel (my
line) Margaret, Maria and Elizabeth. My cousin is descended from Elizabeth's
line.
