Hi Pauline,
Thanks for your help with my Brown connections. I will now be able to order
a death cert for Maurice. I've been a bit stuck with this line.
I've been in touch with NLW. You may recall, you came across some info about
Maurice in the churchwardens presentments recorded by the Antiquarian
Society. Unfortunately, the original records now seem to be missing and they
are unable to provide any info. However, I thought it would be interesting
to get a copy of his will, which they have found.
I may have found one of the sons of John Lloyd yeoman and Elizabeth Tyson
who married in 1802 4th April Llanarthney. In 1851 there is a Richard Tyson
Lloyd (and family) agd 48 born Eglwys Cymmun living in Stoney Way Street.
I'm sure the Browns, Lloyds and Tysons must connect somewhere.
I must make an effort to visit Eglwys Cymmun soon; my gt aunt beleived that
some of the graves are those of my family, but I have not proved the
connection yet.
Thanks again , Pauline, for all your help.
By the way, we popped over to Llanelli during half term. We had a super day
at Three Cliffs. My husband, Huw, started talking to a couple and amazingly,
the husband turned out to be someone from my class at school, who I hadn't
seen for 28 years! The kids had a couple of in-service days tacked onto the
holiday, so we used one to revisit Groveland. Once again it was fantastic;
and such good value.
Take car,
Anne (2015)
