Hi Patricia
You haven't given the ref for Margaret Davies in the third quarter of
1850.
From the FreeBMD site you will see that there is a Thomas Thomas
marriied in the third quarter of 1850 registered in Llandovery ref
26/741.
Does this match?
When counting back to find a marriage you need to be absultely sure that
the child you are looking at is the first born.
Many times I have found the first child dies as an infant - so that
could put your calculations out as what seems the first is really the
second - also often a marriage took place close to the first birth or
after it so make sure you cover a wide enough period.
Good luck.
Pat
