Hi Pauline thankyou for your reply. In the 1881 census Mary was a widow
living with 3 of her children at Cwmtawel [believe name of farm] Mary was born
bout 1828 in Treleach [maiden name Williams] If I can find the family in 1871 I
assume it will tell me the age of Evan , assume he is still alive as a son was
born 1872, also if there were any other children before the 3 she was living
with. I know that there was one named Howell born 1861 [my grandfather] but do
not know if there were any before him. The 1871 census might tell me.Regards
