I will rest in hope that some kind soul has the Carmarthen town census
for 1851.

>The South Wales & Monmouthshire Training College was opened on 24 October
>1848 in Carmarthen town, with an initial roll of 60 students. It was an
>Anglican establishment [Church in Wales, not Church of England].
>If your man was at the college at the time of the 1851 census he should be
>easy to find by anyone with access to that census.
>good hunting!
