Hi Pauline,
He was the Rector of Eglwys Cymmun. You found some info relating to his time
there, and his marriage in Laugharne. I knew there were Browns there, and
hoped Maurice had been born in the town. It doesn't look like I'm going to
be lucky.
Do you have any suggestions where I might find a clue about his birthplace?
Unfortunately he died in 1840, so I can't look at the 1841 census.
I wondered if his death cert would mention it. The only other chance I have
could be an obituary in one of the local papers, as he was Rector of EC for
approx. 40 years.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
