Hi Jeff

I have looked at my marriage index, as I do not have baptisms for Llanfair
ar y bryn baptisms.....

I have two Thomas Powell's in Llanfair ar y bryn

1785 24th Jan Thomas Powell and Amelia Maria Williams

1807 18th April - Thomas Powell and Gwenllian Griffiths

there were 21 Thomas Powell's in my database, but only these two from
Llanfair ar y bryn.....

Yes, it was the norm for ages in census returns to be erratic......very rare
for someone to age exactly 10 years each census........my own g.grandmother
lost 10 years by the time she died.....quoting the wrong age on her burial
records.....

hope this helps
Pauline

Carmarthenshire in Llanfair-ar-y-Bryn. In 1861 she claims the same
birthplace but she is now 52. I know that this is normal for census records
here in the US that some people do not age that much between census', is it
the same in Wales?
