Hi All Subscribers
It is a fact that all Rootsweb lists are now prone to lack of messages;
probably due to the fact that there is a lot more information available to
access on the web, subscribers do not require lookups etc, but can find the
information more readily available online.
For instance in August 2005, Dyfed [3 counties] had 69 messages.
Carmarthenshire-L had 164 [ double the amount of Dyfed]
Carmarthenshire-FHS had [410 messages]
Probably because the more subscribers per list get a better service or more
information per list and/or more enthusiasm on the list,
I would have thought that Dyfed probably has more subscribers than
Carmarthenshire-FHS because it is open to the public. Whereas
Carmarthenshire-FHS is a members only list
Any thoughts please?
Regards
Richard James
