Thanks for your reply - it's very much appreciated.

My Anne Williams was born in Pembrey in 1826, which is approx. the same time
as the one you found.

I know that my Anne died between 1891 and 1901, with her last address in
Bryn, nr Maesteg. Therefore I cannot see any reason why she died in Bridgend.

Have already tried LDS and FreeBMD to find her date of death - no success.

It's very frustrating this genealogy malarkey.
