Over the years, there has been confusion as to whether
it was/is Beckwith or Beckwourth. Today it is known as
Beckwourth, and is on Highway 70, South of its intersection
with US Highway 395. It is in Plumas County, California.
It is approximately 25 miles from Reno, Nevada, but in
California. The County Seat of Plumas County is Quincy,
CA 95971.
