ANCESTRY QUICK TIP
=====================================================================

Recently, my mother had heart surgery, and I volunteered to be with
her during her recovery. My two youngest children and I spent over
two weeks with my parents. She had to rest a lot, and got very bored
waiting for her recovery.

I had been waiting for an opportunity for us to go through the boxes
of pictures they have stored. I decided to put them in piles
according to the size of the picture (there were many different sizes
and/or borders). That made things easier as similarly sized or
similarly bordered photos were usually taken at around the same time.
Often on the back there were numbers that matched or went in order.
This stopped many an arguments between Mom and Dad.

As they put names and dates to them, I took photos with my digital
camera and also loaded them on a CD. I now can share them with
others, without taking them out of my parents' house. I have enjoyed
putting them up on our MyFamily.com website.

I do not plan to wait until one of them is sick before I go back to
finish the other boxes. My next project is pumping my grandmother
(almost 102 years) who is coming to stay with us for sixteen days
this July for lots of information.
