There's www.anybirthday.com
You put in the name without middle initial, or even without the first
name, you can put in a zipcode or part of a zipcode, and you get the
name back with middle initial, birthday, and the zipcode where the person
was living. It seems to be 5-10 years out of date, and doesnt' cover
everywhere in the country. My grandfather, who died in 1995 is listed.
My brothers are both listed at old zipcodes.
Then with the full name and location, try one of the online phone books.
I use www.anywho.com most often, but www.teldir.com has a number of phone
books from all over the world/
There's also the CA Birth Index. It was on rootsweb, but it's not
anymore. There was another location, which was quite painful to search.
Maybe someone else knows where that is.
