I was just cleaning up old files from this list serve, when I saw a tag at
the bottom of a message from a woman (I think), who (among other names)
had Carpenter and FORBES.

This caught my attention, because there is a Forbes connected to My
Carpenter line also. Don't have the info in front of me, but if I remember
right a Sarah FORBES married Alonzo (Elanson) Carpenter. They lived in MI.

If anyone has a Forbes/Carpenter connection from the 1800's, concerning
either NY or MI, could they please e-mail me. I think I may have dumped
the e-mail and can't find it now.

I am hoping to find "proof positive" that Alonzo's father was Amasa. We
are presently going with "best match" for this.
