I would like to know if the will for a John Carpenter of May 1, 1738,
actually exists. Amos Carpenter mentions it twice. Once on page 50 and
again paage 83. Both times he says that Increase Carpenter was executor of
his father John's will and on page 50 he has Nehemiah also and executor.
This will is not to be found in the publication 'Early Orange County Wills'
or in the disk "New York Abstracts of Wills 1665-1801.

Because 'The Book' gives an exact date - May 1, 1738 - it might be available
somewhere.

Does anyone have any idea where this will could be?
