I am still backed up abit in replies ... Thanks for your patience.

I make a note of the inconsistency. Where it is obvious, I correct and
try to note why the change. In this case I inserted the following in
each record ...

!DEATH: Susanna # 303 (b. abt 1743) has the same Death date of 17 March
1790 as another Susanna Carpenter #863 (b. 30 June 1763) in the
Carpenter Memorial. Both married a Howell. Number 863 has more detail
which may indicate the correct data.
