One birth announcement is not spam. 1,000 are.
One critical complaint is not. 1,000 are.
One validating response to the reaction to a complaint is not. 1,000 are,
and with this one we are getting there.

Let's just keep it down to a dull roar, and not be so picky with each other.
I have a new granddaughter. Please don't fuss at me about it.

Subject: Birth Announcement

>Recently I sent an email to the lists that I belong to announcing the birth
of my new grand-daughter. I received many emails of congratulation and 2
emails accusing me of SPAMMING the lists. Since these individuals did not
address their emails to the list, but to me personally I am addressing this
to all of the lists I emailed not.

>It was not my intent to share my "personal life" with everyone. My intent
was to show that the family tree goes in both directions. I am very proud
of my heritage and wanted to share this information with anyone who is a
descendant of the same family line as I am so that they can add this
information if they wish. If I have done the wrong thing I am sorry. Maybe
if I am wrong about doing this maybe I shouldn't be submitting my family
tree for submission to Family Tree Maker either. As far as I can see the
only difference in giving out this information to people and giving people
information about my ancestors is that the ancestors are dead.

family, I wouldn't have as much information today as I do.
