The ANCESTORS of my Great-grandparents, Betsy CARPENTER & Silas HOWARD.
(Betsy Carpenter & Silas Howard had several children, including my
grandfather, Charles V. Howard who married Martha Cleo Floyd and had my
mother Clara Howard. Silas and Charles are buried in Royal, Antelope County,
Nebraska and Betsy Carpenter HOWARD is supposed to have died in Spokane,
Washington....but I can't obtain her death certificate or do I know where she

GENERATION NO. 1

1. Betsy Ann "Anna"1 CARPENTER was born Feb 1826 in Middlebury, Tioga,
Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of 2. Jedediah CARPENTER and 3. Sarah
BURLEY. Betsy died 29 Apr 1911 in Spokane, Spokane, Washington, and was
buried in Spokane, Spokane, Washington. She married Silas R. HOWARD Sep 1848
in Penevang?, Middlebury Twp, Tioga Co., PA. He was born Nov 1822/1826 in
Cayuga County, New York. Silas died 20 Jan 1906 in Royal, Antelope, Nebraska,
and was buried in Royal, Antelope, Nebraska.

GENERATION NO. 2

2. Jedediah2 CARPENTER (Betsy1) was born about 1801 in Osceola, Tioga,
Pennsylvania. He was the son of 4. Jedediah CARPENTER and 5. Elizabeth ( ).
Jedediah died in Illinois. He married 3. Sarah BURLEY.

GENERATION NO. 3

4. Jedediah3 CARPENTER (Jedediah2) was born about Apr 1776 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of 8. Samuel CARPENTER and 9. Sarah or
Mary HIX. Jedediah died 18 Apr 1860 in prob Middlebury, Tioga, Pennsylvania.
He married 5. Elizabeth (_______).

GENERATION NO. 4

8. Samuel4 CARPENTER (Jedediah3) was born 27 Mar 1741 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of 16. Charles CARPENTER and 17.
Hannah BOSWORTH. He married 9. Sarah or Mary HIX 23 Sep 1761
9. Sarah or Mary4 HIX (Jedediah3). Sarah died 16 Mar 1811 in Osceola,
Tioga, Pennsylvania.

GENERATION NO. 5

16. Charles5 CARPENTER (Samuel4) was born 15 Apr 1702 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of 32. Samuel CARPENTER, Jr. and 33.
Patience IDE. Charles died 17 Jan 1744. He married 17. Hannah BOSWORTH about
19 Jun 1731.
17. Hannah5 BOSWORTH (Samuel4) was born about 1706. Hannah died 13
Feb 1748.

GENERATION NO. 6

32. Samuel6 CARPENTER, Jr. (Charles5) was born 15 Sep 1661 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of 64. Samuel CARPENTER and 65. Sarah
READAWAY. Samuel, Jr. died 17 Jan 1736/1737. He married 33. Patience IDE 8
Jan 1683.
33. Patience6 IDE (Charles5) was born about 1664. Patience died 28
Oct 1732.

GENERATION NO. 7

64. Samuel7 CARPENTER (Samuel, Jr.6) was born about 1644 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He was the son of 128. William CARPENTER, IV and 129.
Abigail ( ). Samuel died 20 Feb 1682/1683. He married 65. Sarah READAWAY 25
May 1660.
65. Sarah7 READAWAY (Samuel, Jr.6).
Sarah married (1) 64. Samuel CARPENTER (See above). Sarah
married (2) Gilbert BROOKS after 1683.
GENERATION NO. 8

128. William8 CARPENTER, IV (Samuel7) was born 1605 in England. He was
the son of William CARPENTER, III. William, IV died 7 Feb 1659 in Rehoboth,
Bristol, Massachusetts. He married 129. Abigail (_______). Abigail died 22
Feb 1687.
