Brenda or Annette:
What part of Virginia did Benjamin Carpenter live in? Is this one of the Benjamins in Greenbrier County (W.Va.) and Allegany County (Va.)? I'm trying to find family to which John F. Carpenter belonged; he was born in Virginia 1770-80, married Mary Polly Wheeler, had son Alexander (b. 1806), from whom I am descended via several generations. Both John and Alexander moved to what is now Putnam County, W.Va., in about 1829. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.
Ernie in VA.

Annette,
All that I have is William S. Carpenter b. August 11, 1805 d. December 19, 1875, m. Mary Long b. Sept. 11, 1800 in Virginia, d. Sept. 24, 1874. I have more on his parents if you would like that. I can try to find out if there is any more information on William, such as children and place of death. With these definite dates I would presume there is. I can possibly put you in touch with the person who sent me the file.
Let me know if I can help you any further.
Best wishes for a happy, safe, & prosperous new year.
Brenda in IL

I have a William born about 1805 KY that I can't track down. He died in Mississippi. He had children named the same as some of yours! Do you have anything more on your William?
