I am trying to identify the location of a wedding reception on April 25, 1953 between Sarah Fell Carpenter and George Carey. She was the daughter of Bruce Nelson Carpenter and the grandaughter of Benjamin Gardner and Harriet (Price) Carpenter. Benjamin Carpenter was the brother of Robert "Ruly" Carpenter and Walter Samuel Carpenter (Du Pont). The mansion in the slides is a beige stucco with a red tile roof. A porch wraps around one side. A driveway is on the other. There is a formal garden with, I think, yellow flowers.
Does anyone know if photographs of the exteriors of Ruly and Walter's homes might have been published? I think there was one published of Walter's but I can't remember the title of the book. I have access to the recent book on Walter but there is only an interior photograph.
My aunt was one of the people attending but she doesn't remember where it was.
