The full and complete title of the book referred to as the "Carpenter
Memorial" is:
A Genealogical History of the Rehoboth Branch of the Carpenter Family in
America brought down from their English ancestor John Carpenter, 1303, with many
biographical notes of descendants and allied families.
It was written by Amos B[ugbee] Carpenter and published at Amherst,
Massachusetts by the Press of Carpenter and Morehouse in 1898. Most citations stop at
the end of the first line (with the word "America").

I obtained my copy from a company called Higginson Books in Salem,
Massachusetts, several years back. This publishing house specializes in top quality
reprints of old books such as the Carpenter Memorial. They have a very fine
