I'm a volunteer here in Sacramento.
I don't know whether you have the following:

"ANDERSON, Hartford, was born in Pennsylvania in 1818, where he remained till
1840, engaged in farming. For five years worked at his trade, millwright, and
then removed to Wisconsin, where he remained till 1849, engaged in
wagon-making and bridge-building. In 1850 he came to California, and has
followed mining for thirty years. In 1844 married Lurana Adkins, a native of
Kentucky, who died in 1852; was married again in 1857; the second wife died
in 1874. Mr. Anderson has held the office of Justice of the Peace for
twenty-five years. His property is worth about $1000. Post Office, Folsom."

1870 Census for Sacramento County lists the following Anderson's on page 146A
of that census:
Hastfire (presumably Hartford); age 52, born PA
Charles; age 3; born CA
Margaret; age .6; born CA
Milton; age 9; born CA
William; age 22; born WI
Ann; 32; born IRE

1880 Census Index of Sacramento County lists the following Andersons as being
on page 281B of that census:
Hartford; age 62; born PA
Milton; age 19; born CA (on page 161A)
Maggie; age 10; born CA (on page 161A)
Chas; age 12; born CA (on page 161A)

I'll be glad to see if I can find out more about this family.
