Hi Karen,

I'm the list administrator for the CA Death Index mailing list. Since
rootsweb put CADI 1940-1997 on line I am in need of volunteers that can do
pre1940 lookups. Would love to have a couple of new volunteers, it's summer
and everyone is taking a break on me. I already have a great volunteer in
Nancy Phillips who does obit lookups from the Bee and will do dc
transcriptions. What I need are CADI volunteers.

The CA room at the State Library is the easiest place to look - no microfilm
reading because the CADI is in books. Actually, there are requests for
1949-1959 CAMI that come across the list occasionally also, so if you do
research there it could include CAMI.

But if you don't research there, your FHC probably has the film version.
Can I enlist you and your mother to help with pre1940 CADI lookups?

Look forward to your response.

Colleen Norby
