B. June Cottrell
B. June Cottrell died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 in Sacramento. Born April 9, 1924 Ms. Cottrell was 79.
Ms. Cottrell was a resident of Yolo County for five years. Ms. Cottrell graduated with a BA in music from the University of the pacific before obtaining a teaching credential from the state of California. Ms. Cottrell taught at Sutterville School in Sacramento for 22 years. She was a member of the California Teacher's Association, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Naomi Chapter and a member of Daughter's of the Nile.
Ms. Cottrell is survived by her daughter Kathy Chopelas and husband Tony, of Fair Oaks; grandsons, T.J. Chopelas, of Fair Oaks and Sean Chopelas, of Woodland and dearest friend Marylouise Krier of Sacramento.
Ms. Cottrell was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Margaret (McHugh) Allen of Woodland.
The family requests memorials may be sent to the Cancer Society of Northern California.
Services: A visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at Kraft Bros. Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at Kraft Bros. Chapel. A private, family only, internment will be scheduled for a later date at Monument Hill Memorial Park.
