KYCC LOOKING FOR 250 BRIDGEBUILDERS DURING SHARATHON

Beginning Tuesday, April 13, KYCC will host Spring Sharathon 2004, a three-day fundraiser.

Back in October, we raised over $700,000 for the budget year. Unfortunately, not everyone who pledged has been able to fulfill their commitment. Halfway through the budget year, we have received only 43.5% of that total, and project that only 70-80% of those pledges will be fulfilled. Therefore the goal of the Sharathon is to bridge the gap between our budget needs and what we expect to receive.

Over three days, we will be looking for 250 Bridgebuilders to pledge $300.00 each for a total of $75,000. You may be able to do more, or perhaps less, than that amount, but whatever you can pledge will be appreciated.

Help us continue to be Your Christian Companion by committing your support during Spring Sharathon 2004 on

KYCC is a 24-hour ministry featuring the best in inspirational Christian music as well as some of America's top programs. Our studios are located in Stockton, California. Between our two stations KYCC and KCJH our signal covers the Northern and Central San Joaquin Valley.

Our network of translators allows us to reach across Northern California. Currently we have translators in Sacramento, ElkGrove, Vacaville, Dublin, Chico, Livermore and Antioch. YCC Network also is heard via a new satellite. We currently have translators in Reno, Nevada, and Kalispell, Montana, Provo, Utah, El Paso, Texas, and Alamogordo, New Mexico, which receive our signal via satellite.

KYCC is a listener-supported ministry, with two fundraisers each year: The "Friends & Family Reunion" in October, and the "Spring Sharathon" in April.

Your Christian Companion was the dream of Pastor Kenneth F. Haney of Christian Life Center who envisioned a Christian Radio Network that would impact the world. It all began as KCJH Radio that signed on in March 1975 with an output power of ten watts covering only the central portion of Stockton.

Pastor Haney chose our first call letters KCJH in honor to his father,

There was a desire to increase KCJH's power and at the same time provide 24-hour coverage to all of the Northern Valley, and in 1984 this became a reality! Our home base station KCJH broadcasts today at a power of 26,000 watts.

But on Sunday, August 15, 1999 KCJH (90.1 FM) in Stockton, California, swapped call letters with its sister station, KYCC in Livingston, California.

Since signing the Livingston station on in 1997 (at 89.1 FM), the ministry, has referred to itself mainly by its slogan, "Your Christian Companion."
