Hi Brian-
The file that you refer to at the State Historical Society of Missouri is most likely part of the Western Historical Manuscript Collection. It is located there (although part of the collection is in Kansas City and Rolla-make sure it is in Columbia). I have never been to that part of the library. They will send copies to you and it is pretty cheap. Four feet wouldn't be, though. Check out the website to make sure it is there. I don't know the url but google W.H.M.C. and it will pop up.At the library, people are helpful. At the newspaper file, except for a couple of people, look for a student. Hey, shouldn't you be in your storm cellar by now. You have a tornado there. P.S. I am from Sacramento.
