Family member needs help finding great grandparents who were known to be living in Galt, Sacramento County, California in January 1928. John Dobson & wife, Servila (Could be Sermila) Dobson. Hoping they will show up on the 1920 or 1930 census for that area. The last I have been able to locate them was in 1880 census in Dry Creek F.P., Sacramento County, CA. Do not know if that is near Galt, CA. Would also like to know when and where both were buried. Galt? Following are my research results:
1860 Census for Elliot Township, San Joaquin County, California, Orr's Ranch Post Office, Enumeration District 149: John Dobson (25), Servillia (24), Mary Ann (2) and Sarah M. (3 months). Mary Ann and Sarah born in California.
1870 Census (18 July 1870) for Snelling, Merced County, California: Shows John Dobson (35), Semila (34), Sarah M. (10), John H (7), and James (1 Month) living in CA. Sarah, John & James were all born in California.
1880 Census (10 July 1880), Dry Creek F.P., Sacramento County, California, Enumeration District 75: Shows John Dobson (44), Servila (44), John H. (19), James K P (10), and Ellen (6). John's father & mother were both born in New York. Servila's father & mother were both born in New York. Servila was born in Ohio.
