According to a Sacramento City Directory from 1858-1860, my ggreat-grandfather James Blanchard was a saloon keeper in Sacramento at 178 K Street. I recently visited Old Town Sacramento and there is currently no such number. A visitor guide in Old Town suggested that the numbering of the streets had changed since the late 1850's. Does anyone have an idea where 178 K Street might have been? The directory also stated that he lived on L Street between 7th and 8th. I am also curious where that is or might have been.
