Military Personnel files are kept by the National Archives and Records
Administration, (NARA), and are available for a search fee,
(non-refundable). The Forms needed to acquire these records are
available on-line .
http://www.nara.gov/regional/mpr.html
Be advised that many of these stored records were destroyed in several
fires.
