A couple of days ago, the SUN had an article on the California Room.

It seems that there is a need for more Docents. These resources are about
a year or more BEHIND in being filed, and the three or four VOLUNTEERS
who do the work are needing more people to HELP.

(Unfortunately my home situation doesn't allow me "time away" in the
afternoons.)

Funding for employees to do this valuable service was cut many years ago,
and between the San Bernardino Valley Genealogical Society and a couple
of other volunteers, this program has been just "getting by", and the
resources are GREAT on local history and Genealogy, not limited to LOCAL
resources either.

IF anyone wants to become a DOCENT, and really be a valuable asset to
our local community, Please consider volunteering.
