This is just a quick note to remind everyone of upcoming deadlines for next
weekend's Genealogy Jamboree at the Burbank Airport Hilton and Convention
Center, May 5 and 6.

Sunday, April 30
Deadline for registering for Saturday's Breakfast with The Godfrey
Deadline for registering for the Friday night Banquet with Bill Dollarhide

Monday, May 1
Deadline for pre-registration

Because the Jamboree is just a few days away, the last day for
pre-registration is Monday, May 1. You can register in person at the
Burbank Airport Hilton and Convention Center on Friday, May 5, beginning at
12:00 noon and on Saturday, May 6, beginning at 8:00 a.m. We look forward
to welcoming you to a wonderful event.

This is shaping up to be one of the best-attended, most exciting Jamboree in
years. Between sessions, stop by the Tech Zone and test-drive the
historical newspapers and Ancestry Library Edition, both of which are being
made available by ProQuest. While you're there, check for useful resources
in the SCGS Library catalog, get updated on the 1890 Project, and search for
your family names in our marriage records and in the newest SCGS
publication, "Naturalization Index to the Superior Court for Los Angeles
County, California: 1852-1915."

The door prizes include a 7-day stay at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel, a
one-year subscription to Ancestry Deluxe Edition, and dozens of other gifts.
Be sure to buy extra door prize drawing tickets and improve your chances of
winning one of these fabulous prizes.

Registration opens Friday at 12:00 noon, and the exhibit hall doors open at
1:00 p.m. The first presentation starts at 1:30 p.m. and consecutive
sessions run through 5:30. Then join us for a no-host reception in the
exhibit hall, followed by the banquet with Bill Dollarhide. The banquet is
not included in your Jamboree registration, but tickets are available for
purchase through Sunday, April 30.

On Saturday, the registration desk opens at 8:00 a.m. and the Exhibit Hall
opens at 8:30. You'll have time to explore the exhibits before the first
session starts at 9:30. For an early start to the day, join us for
Breakfast with the Godfrey at 7:30. Tickets are available for purchase
through April 30.

The final Speaker schedule will be available online by Monday. There have
been very few changes since the preliminary schedule was issued, but one
change affects Bill Dollarhide's Census talk on Saturday. It has been moved
to the first session on Saturday morning.
