San Diego Tribune July 21, 1958 JACOB M. BOAZ FUNERAL HELD Services were held today in Lewis Colonial Mortuary for the Rev. Jacob M. Boaz, 79, of 2919 Thorn St.. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetary. The Rev. Mr. Boaz died Friday in his home. He was a minister in the Church of the Brethren 41 years, including four years here. He retired several years ago. Survivors are his widow, Edna; two sons, Gladden, San Diego, and Royce, Dallas, Tex.; a brother, the Rev. William Boaz, Trenton, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Sally Godshall of Pennsylvania, and five grandchildren. JESSE J. MCINTOSH Graveside services for Jessie J. McIntosh, 70, of 1547 Granada Ave., will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery. Lewis Colonial Mortuary has charge. Mr. McIntosh, a retired Army master sergeant, died Saturday in a hospital. He was born in Kentucky and moved here 21 years ago. Survivors are his widow, Norma; two stepsons, and a stepdaughter. ROBERT E. L. POWELL Robert E. L. Powell, 68, a retired civil service employe, died yesterday in his home, 3509 Jemez St. Born in Texas, he moved here in 1941. Survivors are his widow, Aura; a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Loudermilk; a son, Troy L., San Diego; five brothers, three sisters, and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Pacific Beach Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. JOHN E. MYERLY John E. Myerly, 76, a retired carpenter who had lived here 55 years, died yesterday in his home, 4850 67th St. He was born in Kansas. Mr. Myerly was a member of the Carpenters Union. He leaves his widow, Kate; three daughters, Mrs. Garnet Harmon, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Opal McAfee of San Gabriel, and Mrs. Georgia Dorney, of San Diego, two brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Benbough Mortuary. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
