Can anyone tell me about a place called 'Saw Wings' in San Diego, we are searching there for info on someone found there in the 1870 census.
Edwin SPENCER age 35 b. Eng. if indeed ours this person was returning home to Eng. having struck gold (letter home), he never returned and nothing more was ever heard.
Was this an area of gold prospecting ? could he have been murdered for his gold or was there a natural distater after July 1870, are there any death indexes for this time frame ??
Any ideas most welcome, Toni.
