Grace, thank you for your compliment. Unfortunately, the research that I
perform is generally limited to the period before 1910 at most. However, I
can offer some suggestions. Do you have a date of death? If so, I would be
good to get newspaper clippings about the event. In addition, it is quite
likely that a probate case was opened. If so, this can be obtained from the
court. Home ownership could be determined this way. Or, a title search of
the subject properties could be done.
Unless you live in San Francisco, you will need to find someone familiar
with this type of research. It is not difficult, but, if you are paying
someone to do it, make sure they are good so as not to waste your time.
It is possible that I could take the time to do some of this if you are
interested.
