I have uploaded the first 13 chapters of my story, The Sanchez File, to
my home page, America Hurrah, with photos and rancho maps.
It's a story of murder, conspiracy and fraud against Encarnacion Ortega
of San Juan Bautista, Monterey County, California. She was the widow of
Jose Maria Sanchez, who drowned in the Pajaro River, Christmas Eve,
1852, leaving her and her five children an estate valued at $300
thousand. Easy pickings for ex-soldiers of the NY Volunteers in
Monterey.
I would appreciate any comments. I put in everything concerning the
probate; testimony, depositions etc. If there is too much detail please
let me know.
