It would be interesting to know if there is a second place for delayed birth
certificates. My father was born 15 Aug 1888. His birth certificate was
destroyed in the SF earthquake.
In 1945 he petitioned the Superior Court of SF to reestablish his birth
certificate in order to sign up for SS. I have the delayed birth
certificate, dated 1945, and a copy of the petition from Records Services,
Superior Court, SF.
It would be very helpful for many if these certificates were recorded in a
second location. Maybe the Record Services of the Superior Court of SF
might know.
Can anyone check? I have mine, but others may need them.
