Dear List,
I have located my relatives in Ireland, and now I am searching for the
descendents of the siblings that supposedly traveled to America with my
g-grandfather, James Shannon. It is believed that he came to the U.S. with
2 brothers in the early 1860s. I have the names of his 6 brothers, but I'm
not sure which ones came. An Irish relative said that he was told that he
had American relatives living in San Francisco and they owned a
Construction Company. This would have been in the 1940s or 50s. Is anyone
aware of a Shanahan Construction Company around that time? Thanks for any
help anyone could give to me.
