I do not have any further information regarding Mr. Malchow.
Martin Malchow
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11a.m. at the Treadway and
Wigger Funeral Chapel for Martin Paul Malchow, retired meat cutter and market
owner.
Mr. Malchow, 65, died Sunday at Queen of the Valley Hospital. He had been
ill for several months.
He served in the Army during World War 1 in his native Germany, and came
to the United States in 1921. For 20 years after he moved to California in
1923, Mr. Malchow worked in the meat division of Safeway Stores, Inc., and
then owned and operated Martin's Meat market in San Francisco until he
retired in 1966 and came to Napa. He visited his family in Germany in 1966.
Mr. Malchow was a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butchers
Union 115.
Survivors include two children, Lillian M. Jensen of Napa and Martin
Frederick Malchow of San Francisco; two sisters Anni Puype of Apeldorn,
Holland and Margaret Otto of San Francisco; eight grandchildren, and many
nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Erwin Bollinger will officiate at the funeral, followed by
burial in Tulocay Cemetery.
